I’ve found that some days, life gets a little heavy- assignments, boredom, stress, that exam block that comes up right after you’ve finished your last term. Sometimes, you need just a few things in your head that can resuscitate those fried braincells for a tiny bit. For example,
- Spotify Free playing the song you want when you want it
- Hot chips that are actually crispy- not soggy pieces of betrayal
- When my kajal looks good on both eyes
- Reading a book under a blanket while it rains outside
- Randomly remembering a memory from ten years ago in the shower and being unable to stop laughing- also, WARM SHOWERS
- Getting a text back faster than expected
- A stranger’s dog on the street
- Watching the sunset on a summer evening and feeling at peace in the backyard
- Re-reading birthday cards, looking at old photos
- Laughing so hard I can’t breathe and then ending up snorting or crying, and then laughing even harder
Nothing much. Just silly little moments that give you a reason to not combust into utter chaos.
Sometimes, it’s the small details that count.
